About us

PEN Trust was set up in 2016 to support causes of public interest, with a particular focus on charities that can make advancements in education and help young people in need.

We are a grant-giving trust, funded by a proportion of the revenues of PEN Partnership, an independent management consultancy, who believe passionately that the business should achieve charitable goals along with its core business objectives.

We work closely with a small number of partner charities as well as other charities and organisations of public interest on a periodic basis, as agreed within the trustee group.

I simply can’t thank you all enough for your amazing generosity, it was such a boost. It will help the design of my mentoring booklet, and the number of planned trips with schools are growing already.

James Shone, I Can & I Am

Thank you so much for all your support. Your ongoing input has helped us to run a number of events which benefit young people in our local community and their families.

Christine Annis, Downside Fisher Youth Club

Thanks PEN Trust for your continued support of our table cricket programme and for the Minibus you helped provide. Your input helps us to give more young people a sporting chance.

Perry Norton, Lord’s Taverners

Support from PEN Trust has enabled us to have a dedicated team member to oversee our schools programme, involving visits to a range of venues that support Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Maths.

The main charities we fund

The Lord's Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, founded in 1950 at the Tavern pub at Lord's Cricket Ground. Supporting some of the most marginalised and at risk young people in the UK, the charity works to enhance lives through sport and recreation, giving young people a 'sporting chance.'

The Downside Fisher Youth Club (DFYC) has been in existence for over 100 years and continues to support socially excluded children and young people from Bermondsey and its neighbouring areas. DFYC helps them to fulfil their potential through a structured programme of sport, educational, artistic and recreational activities.
